Get it out privately
Say what happened in your own words. Give yourself a moment to cool down before deciding what it means.
Niggle is a private AI companion for each partner—helping you cool down, understand your own side, and find words the other person can actually hear.
An early concept for couples who want to repair well, not win.
When emotions are hot, what we mean and what our partner hears can drift apart. Niggle gives each person a private place to slow the moment down, get clearer about what’s theirs, and choose what they want to say next.
Niggle isn’t there to hand out a winner and a loser. It helps each person make room for their own experience and consider what might be true for their partner too.
Sometimes both people have something to understand or own. That doesn’t mean the responsibility is always equal. The goal is a more accurate conversation—and a repair that feels real.
Each partner has their own relationship agent, shaped by a short set of personal questions. When a niggle happens, you work with your agent privately and decide what—if anything—you want to share.
Say what happened in your own words. Give yourself a moment to cool down before deciding what it means.
Notice what you felt, what you interpreted, what you need, and what part you might own.
Find language that sounds like you. Nothing is sent to your partner unless you choose to share it.
The starting idea for Niggle is two separate, personalised agents—not one shared inbox. Each person controls what leaves their conversation.
Each partner builds their own private relationship profile.
Your partner can’t browse your agent conversations.
Nothing is automatically shared between you.
You choose what to copy, paste or say in your own words.
The first version starts with the moment after tension. Over time, Niggle could also help couples spot predictable pressure points and make a plan before they arrive.
Cool down. Separate what happened from what you feared it meant. Find the part you own and work out what repair could sound like.
Look ahead at a tricky event or family week. Talk through likely friction, what support means, and how you’ll stay on the same team.
We’re shaping the first test now. If you’d like to help build a better way for couples to repair, this is the place to start.
